Daily or Weekly? Saving and using Trendwell’s JSON exports
Claes Parflo
Use Daily when you want to inspect one current reporting window. Use Weekly when you want to compare the pattern across days and recent weeks. Both exports preserve Trendwell’s prepared findings and the limits of the available evidence.
Daily keeps the detail of the current window
Daily Agent Export includes the current daily findings and their support, including available information about resting heart rate, sleep, activity, exercise and instability evidence. Supported measures also have comparisons with the previous window and recent 7- and 30-window references.
It is useful for questions such as: “Which recorded measures changed from the previous window, and which were unavailable?” It does not establish what caused a change.
Weekly gives recent changes more context
Weekly Agent Export combines weekly findings, daily summaries, coverage and comparisons with the prior weekly period and the four preceding weekly periods where data is available.
That makes it useful for a question such as: “Was this change repeated across the week, and how does the week compare with the recent reference?” The reference describes recent recorded data. It is not a fixed baseline or a target.
The Weekly Detailed Analysis presents this kind of context as a Personal Reference Snapshot; the JSON preserves structured comparison and reference information rather than copying the report’s prose.
Check the window before the value
Trendwell uses daily windows anchored to 20:00 local time, with delayed rollover. The current window may be in progress. Weekly covers seven daily windows rather than a fixed Monday-to-Sunday calendar week.
Read the export’s reporting period, generation time and coverage. Two exports created on different dates may cover overlapping periods. A partial period should not be treated as a complete one, and missing days should remain missing.
Latest-known blood pressure, weight or cardio-fitness values have their own measurement dates. A value included in today’s export was not necessarily measured today.
Build a shortcut that saves the result
- Create a shortcut in Apple Shortcuts and search the actions for Trendwell.
- Add Create Daily Agent Export or Create Weekly Agent Export.
- Add Save File immediately after it, using the file returned by the Trendwell action as its input.
- Choose a folder or choose a location each time you run it.
- Run it and check that the
.jsonfile is present before attaching it elsewhere.
The app shortcut tiles use the shorter names Daily Agent Export and Weekly Agent Export. Both require active Trendwell access and available Apple Health data.
The actions generate new combined analysis when they run. They do not upload to an AI provider, select an old saved report or create a recurring schedule by themselves.
You can configure a personal automation in Apple Shortcuts after a manual run works. Choose and test its save destination and duplicate-file handling. Timing, permission prompts and whether an automation can complete while the device is locked depend on the system and your configuration. A schedule is not a guarantee that the file was saved: check the destination and the dates inside the output.
Ask for a comparison you can check
Try: “Compare the supplied weekly periods. Keep Trendwell’s labels unchanged. First identify gaps, overlap and unequal coverage; then list supported changes and unresolved questions.”
A focused request works well: “Compare the supplied periods. Keep Trendwell’s labels unchanged. Check dates, coverage and missing values first, then list supported changes and what remains unknown.”
Before attaching a file, review its contents and the service’s privacy settings. Health and medication information can be sensitive. Keep the original export so you can check any answer against it.
